Chapter 2

-2 hours later-

I looked at my clock for the third time in 10 minutes. "4:00 p.m." Three hours? "Maybe I will go. She did say she was going to be there. I wouldn't want to make her feel bad." I got up from the couch and turned the TV off. Running into my room, I grabbed a suitcase and threw it onto my bed. "Let's see. She said one year. So I'm going to need a lot of clothes. But I could buy some there." I opened my walk-in closet and began running my fingers through the clothes. "And...stop!" I stopped my hand and pulled out the five peices of clothing that my hand landed on. I threw it into my suitcase and repeated this process about four times.

"Yosh [Alright]." I closed the suitcase and made my way for the front of my house. I called for a taxi earlier, but it took forever to get to my house. When it finally arrived at my house, I was spaced out. The driver had to honk at me just to wake me up.

"Miss!" he called.

"Oh, I'm sorry." He opened the trunk for me and I placed my suitcase in there. I opened the back door and got in. "MIA please."

"Yes ma'am." he said and began to drive.

Unbeliveable. I'm going to the airport just to make a girl I don't even know happy. Just unbelieveable. That e-mail might not even be true. No, that e-mail isn't true. For sure.

When I arrived at the airport, I thanked the driver and paid him. He opened the trunk for me once again and I took my suitcase out. A young man helped me look for the gate going to Japan. Surprising how the girl can read my mind, but she forgets to tell me what gate it's at.

"Thank you." I thanked the young man and walked to the gate he escorted me to. Hmm...so how is this going to work? She knows my name. I don't know hers, I don't know what she looks likes, and I don't even know her age. This is going to be difficult. I looked all around the gate and saw an old man with a cardboard and my name written on it. "Hmm...so she was a guy. And he's pretty old." The old man looked like he was in his late 50s. He was standing tall with the peice of cardboard in his hands. He was wearing a suit, like a driver. I walked over to him, "Are you the person who sent me that weird e-mail?"

"Eh? Ore [Me]? Chigau yo [You're wrong]," he was speaking Japanese. I was lucky he spoke words I understood. I can understand Japanese, but not so much.

"Hontou [Really]? Ja...dare desu ka [Then...who are you]?"

"I'm the ojii-chan [old man] of the girl who sent you that e-mail. She really likes asking her uncle if her friends could stay with one of the boy bands."

"Uncle? J-Johnny-san is her uncle?" I asked extremely surprised.

"Mhm. Why do you look so surprised?"

"I didn't know Johnny-san had kids." I rubbed the back of my neck embarrassed.

"He has four kids. Two boys and two girls. All of them all already grown up."

"Sou ka [I see]. So the one who contacted me was Johnny-san's neice?"

"Hai [Yes]."

"How old is she?" I asked.

"That is something the young mistress told me not to tell you. She wants you to figure that out on your own." he said smiling.

"Sou ka [I see]. This is going to be hard..."

"What do you mean?"

"I need to figure out the girl's name, age, and location. Plus, I have to live with KAT-TUN. Agh...how troublesome."

"Eh? But didn't you want to live with KAT-TUN?"

"Mouchiron demo... [Of course but...] I don't know if I can. It'd be awkward, ne [right]?"

"Don't worry. KAT-TUN has lived with many other people. You're not their first."

"You make it sound like I'm not special," I told him.

"Hontou [Really]? Ah gomen [sorry]. I guess I could be blunt sometimes."

"Iie [It's okay]. So where do we go now?" I asked looking around.

"Of course you have to go to a hotel."

"Hotel? I thought I was living with KAT-TUN."

"That'll be tomorrow. It's already too late for the band to meet you today."

"Sou ka [I see]. So where do we go?"

"I'll get a taxi for you. But before that I need to give you something." He dug his hand through his pocket and was ready to pull it out, but he stopped.

"Doushta [Whats wrong]?" I asked.

"Close your eyes," he told me. I looked at him confused. "Hayaku [Hurry]. Close 'em."

"H-hai [Y-yes]." I did as I was told and closed my eyes.

"Stick your hands out."

I stuck my hands out and waited for something to happen. Then I felt two things placed in my hands. They felt like jewlery. I could feel the steel chain of a necklace and a pin from, what felt like, a pair of earrings. I opened my eyes and saw that I was right. It was a necklace and a pair of earrings. The necklace was quite long and the pendent was really small. The pendent was a blue kanji character. I can't read kanji, so it hopeless to even try to understand it. The earrings were the same, but the character was smaller and even more complicated. "Kore...nani [What...is this]?" I asked confused.

"Isn't it obvious? They're jewlery," he said in a aren't-you-dumb way.

"I know that. I mean, why are you giving this to me?" I rephrased my question.

"What? Is it not nice? I spent almost two hours trying to find the perfect necklace and earrings for you," he sighed dissappointed.

"I didn't mean it like that. It's really pretty, but why do I need this?"

He looked at me with a more serious face, "They're both translators."

I gave him a confused face, "How is that possible?"

He took the necklace away from me and told me, "This will make what ever you say into Japanese. The boys didn't have enough time to study much English. Sorry about that." He then took the earrings from me. "This will translate what ever you hear from Japanese to English."

"Hontou? Sugoi. [Really? Awesome.]" I said amazed.

"Deshou [Right]? My friends weren't very convinced though. It took me forever just to make these two."

"Hontou [Really]? Gomen ne [I'm sorry]?"

"Why are you apologizing?" he asked.

"I didn't think you went through all that trouble just to make my stay here in Japan easier." I told him.

"Betsuni [It's nothing]. Anything the young mistress tells me to do, I do. She knows I'm very skilled in making technology, so she asked me to make this for me. Generous, isn't she?"

"Hai... [Yeah...]"

"Tonikaku [Anyways] I better go and get you a taxi. Koko matte [Wait here]." He left me and went outside to catch a taxi. I watched him as he tried to catch a taxi, but he was unsuccessful most of the time.

This is hopeless. I ran outside and called for a taxi next to him. "Taxi! Taxi!" I shouted unceasingly. "Taxi!" Finally, a taxi stopped in front of us. I looked at the old man with a smile, "That's how you call a taxi." He looked at me with an annoyed face. I ignored him and got in the taxi. The driver opened the trunk for the old man and he placed my cases inside. "Arigatou ojii-san. [Thank you Mr. Old Man]"

"Betsuni [It's nothing]. Here's the directions to where you're going to stay. Give this to the driver and tell him to go here. You're room number is on the peice of paper. Mata ne [See you again]?" He closed the door and the driver started the car. We drove for a few miles until I realized the ojii-chan forgot to teach me how to turn the translators on.

"Jalksjd assa?" The driver asked me.

"Yabai [Oh no]. I don't know how to turn these things on." I turned around and saw the old man grinning the biggest grin I ever saw. "Hidoi [You're horrible]!"
